Why I Stopped Vlogging Our Dream Home Construction
When I first started Roots in Our Dreamland, my vision was clear—I wanted to document our home-building journey, capturing the excitement, challenges, and milestones of creating our dream home. But as time went on, what was supposed to be a joyful and fulfilling experience became something entirely different. Instead of feeling inspired, I felt drained. The stress of the process overshadowed the excitement, and the reality of home building was far from the dream I had imagined.
At some point, I realized that I was holding onto this project for the wrong reasons. I had started Roots in Our Dreamland with the intention of sharing something meaningful, but the content no longer aligned with what truly made me happy. And that’s when it hit me—why continue down a path that no longer brings me joy when I have the power to shift gears and create something that truly resonates with me?
So, I’m pivoting. Roots in Our Dreamland is no longer about home building; it’s about building a life that feels fulfilling and balanced. As a mom and entrepreneur, I know firsthand the struggle of juggling motherhood and business, trying to be present for my family while also chasing my dreams. That’s the journey I want to share—the real, unfiltered highs and lows of managing motherhood and business, finding balance, and embracing the beautiful chaos along the way.
This shift isn’t about failure—it’s about growth. It’s about choosing to follow what truly lights me up instead of forcing something that no longer serves me. I want Roots in Our Dreamland to be a space where other moms, entrepreneurs, and dreamers can come for inspiration, encouragement, and real talk about what it means to build a dream life—not just a dream house.
If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for being part of this journey. And if you’re new, welcome! I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you. Here’s to building something meaningful—together.
